When Georgie Miles was 3 years old, she told her mother that when she "grew big" she would be a dance teacher!
Georgie began dancing at the Alexandra School of Dance in Thames, Coromandel in 1994.
At age 7 she began commuting to Auckland by bus on Monday morning, staying the week with her previous ballet teacher and attending Mount Eden Ballet Academy, until her final exam in 2008.
Georgie began teaching summer dance schools in 2007 in Rarotonga, and established her own little dance school there, offering ballet and contemporary dance to children aged 3-10 years.
At age 18, she moved back to New Zealand and studied at Auckland University (Bachelor of Business) and then at Toi Oho Mai in 2015, gaining her registered Personal Training L4 certificate. She worked for three years as a personal trainer at Les Mills Auckland City and two years at Next Generation Gym, before gaining the opportunity to begin teaching dance again with a local school here in Auckland.
However, Georgie's dream has always been to have her own studio, and her own school.
It is safe to say this is her deepest passion, and the only thing she has ever really desired.
What we have discovered through her background in dancing, and now extensive experience as a personal trainer, gaining a deeper knowledge of how our vascular, muscular and skeletal systems work, has allowed Georgie to develop an even better understanding of our bodies and has allowed a much more efficient explanation and teaching style with students to explain movements and corrections in a way most teachers are not able to do.
